Best of Pablum

Gen Z is a generation that will someday lead this world. What do they think? What do they believe? As Amanda Gorman is blowing up the poetry and spoken word scene since the Inauguration, fellow Gen Z'er, Zach Estudillo’s Best of Pablum: Tracks of Trash from an Eighteen-year-old will take you on a voyage of pop culture, poetry, spoken word, and humor as you discover the core values of a typical Gen Z. (Both Gorman and Estudillo studied under 826 Valencia/National.) A self-proclaimed introvert and UC Berkeley student, Zach Estudillo writes in wonderful double entendres, a literary illustration, and a classic read into the artistry and power of words. In this book, you’ll discover…

~Poems inundated with meme-culture references
~Poignant lines that will make you reread the verse and allow you to discover a different meaning every time
~A perfect book for the AP Literature class to dissect with critical thinking the meaning and use of his poetic voice
~The mind of what this generation has lived through and experienced-- gun violence, social injustice, depression, climate change, gentrification, and the heavy influence of social media--- yet he will give you hope for the future.

This book is full of easter eggs as you delve into his spoken word, his reference to his love of basketball, and hear his rhythmic cadence (what some might say is “rap”). Have a dictionary handy, you might learn a few vocabulary words. So whether you’re a fellow Gen Zer, a parent of one, an AP Literature teacher, or want a quick read that will make you laugh, cry and ponder, and enjoy your journey into the power of words, balladry, and pop culture.

Regrets Love, Sex, and Life Lessons

Regrets, Love, Sex and Life Lessons

Book is full of memoirs based on regrets, love, mistakes, hurt, lust, horrible decisions and a lot of life lessons

Regrets, Love, Sex and Life Lessons describes all the pros and cons of being an adult. As an adult, we make just as many mistakes as we did as a child or teenager, the only difference is now, we learn from it and take it as a “Lesson or Blessing”. You’re blessed to have experience passion, good sex and maybe “Love”. Or, you have learned a hard lesson on the difference between “Love and Lust “and “Need and Want”.
It seems as we get older, we always end up thinking with the “Wrong Head” and it always causes severe heart break or severe consequences.
One thing I can honestly say is, you’re not living your best life if you’re not making mistakes and you’re not truly an adult, if you’re not learning from them.

In either case, you will need a business plan at some point. This guide will help you write important details about your business, and give you a beginner guide on how to make a business action plan. It is important because a business plan helps outline your business goals and makes you look credible to banking institutions, potential partners, or investors.

Black Lives, White Lies

Black Lives, White Lies:

The Need for White Christians to Fight Racism in America

Most of us at one time or another have experienced or even told a “White Lie”. We may tell one to keep from hurting someone we care about. We may tell one to hurt someone. Whatever the source or the reason a White Lie is always inaccurate information. Unfortunately, when it comes to Race in America, White Lies have been a staple of the narrative. White lies have been told to Black people, about Black people and believed by Black people. White lies have been told to White people about Black people and believed by White people. Lies, lies and more lies, and as our nation’s history tells us, this has not been a recipe for success when it comes to Blacks and Whites “understanding” each other. Because of all the lies, many Whites in America are puzzled by the phrase “Black Lives Matter”. Some are offended and think Black people suddenly think they are better than Whites. Nothing could be further from the truth. This book is an attempt to provide a glimpse into the reason that phrase came into being. It provides information for Black readers that has not been provided by mainstream history in the U. S. It will shed light on things that all Black Americans should understand about how we arrived at this point. It hopes to enlighten White readers in a very small way about the “Black Experience” in America. It seeks to answer some of the questions White readers may have about what led to the use of the phrase and encourage White Christian readers to consider “taking up this Cross” in an effort to be more like Christ.

Developing your emotional intelligence? Learn simple and practical techniques to cultivate your love competence…

◆ Everyone wants love. We’re so desperate for it that we are frequently willing to take any deformed shape of it. But what if we can bring in the idea in a developed and genuine form to make it available to every person?

Morhaf Al Achkar obtained his Ph.D in education and is currently a practicing family physician at the University of Washington. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Since then, his research has focused on the experience of patients living with cancers. His first book is based on interviews he did with 39 patients who live, like him, with advanced illness. He explored how these patients find meaning, cope, and build resilience. Using his deep understanding of philosophical concepts, Morhaf shares his understanding of love from the perspective of someone aware of his finitude.

◆ By following his easy-to-apply practical exercises, Morhaf invites you on a journey of dialogue and reflection to improve your Empathic Abilities.

Inside A Love Attempt, you’ll learn:

  • The Pragmatics of Love
  • How to Love by recognizing and capturing the opportunity.
  • How to reconstruct what is being and learn about context and biography to communicate with love
  • How to become oriented to understanding and agreement to act communicatively with Love
  • How to develop a strategy to reinforce and abstract some learning about yourself to Become Authentic with Love
  • And much, much more!

◆ A Love Attempt™ is the third book in Dr. Alachkar’s self-help series. The first was on Resilience and Meaning. The second, his memoir, was released only six months before the first draft of this project. In Being Authentic, he wrote ideas about love but did not develop them sufficiently. So he is completing that project here◆

◆ Dr. Alachkar’s elegant but transparent manuscript is packed with thought-provoking insights and concrete action steps to make salient our native competency for loving so we can then orient our next actions toward embracing love. If you want to learn the conceptualization of love and say “My next act is A Love Attempt!” then you can’t afford to miss Morhaf’s essential guide.

Apotheosis Now

Live effortlessly. Expands on teachings from Eckhart Tolle, Sadhguru, Alan Watts, Mooji, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Lao Tzu & Buddha. “As I dove deep into the book, as unnerving as it sounds it broke me bone by bone, left me unsettling for I was shown something beyond my comprehension.” - Online Book Club
“Apotheosis Now is definitely the best self-help book I've read this year.” - Readers' Favorite

A mind that is fragmented and sees the world in terms of what is me and not me, good and bad, will be caught in endless conflict. Because externally, we are always trying to control what is “not me,” and internally, we always get perplexed trying to figure out whether our actions came from our “higher” or “lower” self. As Albert Einstein said: “We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”

This book will help you to understand:
- Why we have internal conflicts
- How does our ego trap us in undesirable circumstances
- How do our beliefs limit us
- Why thought-based teachings (Law of Attraction), or self-improvement advice don’t work
- How do we really get what we want
- Why is happiness so rare for us
- Who we are really
- What is the nature of existence
- What is the meaning of life
- How do we know if there is a God
- What is the process of spiritual enlightenment
