Although Jack probably wasn't thinking long enough to realise that his dream might come true and he'd wake up to find a living and possibly dangerous Tyrannosaurus Rex asleep on his lawn.
And through their little adventures Jack comes to realise that he loves his pet dog, Max and that we should all appreciate what we have and be really careful what we wish for.
All with a funny and surprisingly charming ending.
