Cub's Wish

Remedy
by K.J. Simmill

Before there were legends there was war.
Before fables came twisted truth and distorted tales.
Things deemed too dangerous were sealed, and bound for all eternity.
Or so it was believed.

Whispers from an ancient realm threaten the peace, drawing a lone adventurer into The Depths of Acheron.
He seeks something from within this sealed domain, and those banished want something in return.
Something belonging to them.

There was a prophecy forged of rebirth and death.
But knowing what is to come can change what will be.
And there is one who seeks to do just that.
He intends to use every tool at his disposal, every distraction and manipulation, to ensure the future will be his.

The time has come for the forgotten to be unveiled, and for the sealed to be unbound. Only then will the world know true fear.

Each book in The Forgotten Legacies series reads as stand alone.

The Deceived
by E. C. Fisher
What if the Bible was a con devised by none other than Lucifer himself? What if The Rapture came, and it was a trick? In E.C. Fisher’s biblical thriller The Deceived, it is the devil who is behind religion, and everyone from Adam and Eve on up are in the thrall of his lies. But as the End of Days plays out on Earth—a ploy designed by Lucifer to give the world to his followers—the archangel Michael is sent down to earth from heaven, where he must battle the devil to save God’s children—not to mention the planet. As God lays dying in heaven, and Lucifer kidnaps Michael’s soulmate, Ari-el—Michael must face not only the potential of demons overtaking earth, but the loss of both his Father and his one true love. Armed with the Sword of the Spirit, forged from God’s own powerful wings, Michael sets out to destroy the Antichrist, and thereby bring an end to the deadly masquerade that is Lucifer’s religion. Written with the verve of a contemporary adventure fantasy, and the deep, complex knowledge of a religious thriller, The Deceived is a harrowing tale that reflects the rifts and tensions of our modern political moment. This is the story of Revelations that you do not know, but one that you will not be able to put down.
The beheaded body of an ambassador's son is dumped on the curb in front of his father's embassy just blocks from the White House. Federal prosecutor Jeff Trask and an FBI task force are called upon to solve the murder. Their search for the killers leads to the MS-13, a hyper-violent gang from El Salvador, but Trask and his team soon learn that someone else is also tracking their suspects, and with deadly efficiency. When Trask himself becomes a target, he realizes that he is caught in a cross-fire between two of the most ruthless organizations in the western hemisphere.

Author Marc Rainer brings more than three decades of investigative and prosecutorial experience to this follow-up to his hit police procedural "Capital Kill." "Horns of the Devil" provides a view into one of the most deadly organized crime threats facing the United States today, and takes the reader on a gripping ride through murder investigations complicated by Washington politics and international intrigue.

Troy's Possibilities
by Rodney Strong

"I found myself thinking about the plot long after I put the book down and to me, that is what a book should do."
"Definite good read to all of us who have wondered 'what if"

For Troy Messer, time travel is great on TV, but it’s not reality. Troy is afflicted by a condition that lets him live out different futures – lots of them. Jaded by all these possibilities, he drifts from day to day never knowing if what he’s living is real life or just a possible one.

When he first meets Cat, it’s not even close to love at first sight. She pepper sprays him and steals his phone. But then he meets her again, and again. Finally, he becomes convinced that this funny, crazy, woman might be just what he needs.

But in his strange world of possibilities nothing is straightforward.

Weeds in Nana's Garden
by Kathryn Harrison

A young girl and her Nana hold a special bond that blooms in the surroundings of Nana’s magical garden. Then one day, the girl finds many weeds in the garden. She soon discovers that her beloved Nana has Alzheimer’s Disease; an illness that affects an adult brain with tangles that get in the way of thoughts, kind of like how weeds get in the way of flowers. As time passes, the weeds grow thicker and her Nana declines, but the girl accepts the difficult changes with love, and learns to take-over as the magical garden’s caregiver. Extending from the experience of caring for her mother, artist Kathryn Harrison has created this poignant story with rich illustrations to candidly explore dementia diseases, while demonstrating the power of love. It is a journey that will cultivate understanding and touch your heart. After the story, a useful Question and Answer section is included. 20% of the proceeds from the purchase of this book will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. The Alzheimer Society is Canada’s leading health charity for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
